Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The objectives of this u.c. are to provide the basis for understanding the functioning of the human organism at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organic and systemic levels. To identify and explain the anatomical components of the various systems. Develop the ability to apply knowledge in practice; Develop the ability to manage information; Develop the ability to work in groups and autonomously.
Syllabus:
- Concept of anatomy and physiology 2. - Anatomical plans and anatomical position 3. - Levels of organization of the human body (cell-tissue-organ-system) 4. - Characteristics of epithelial tissues, connective tissue, muscle tissue and nervous tissue 5. - Bone system 6. Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The construction of programmatic contents, with the approach of morphological and functional aspects of the human organism, relying on theoretical, theoretical-practical and practical information of the subjects addressed, including the use of appropriate teaching resources, such as power-point exposures and manipulation of anatomical models, duly appropriate to the learning process of this curricular unit in the course of health service assistants.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The TC consists of expository classes, descriptive and demonstrative of the topics defined in the programmatic contents. The PL component consists of teaching sessions in which appropriate anatomical models are observed, interpreted and manipulated. The evaluation regime is one of continuous evaluation. There will be 2 theoretical written evaluations to CT. In the practical component there will be 2 written assessments. The student will be declared approved to each component if he/she obtains a final classification equal or superior to 09.50 values. The final classification results from the weighting of 50% CT and 50% PL.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The teaching methodology focused on theoretical, theoretical-practical and practical information of the subjects addressed, including the use of appropriate teaching resources, such as videos and manipulation of anatomical models, is properly suited to the learning process of the subject of Structures and functions of the human body in the curriculum plan of this CTSP.
